Cairo and its Great Pyramid of Giza are rightfully considered the oldest and only surviving artifact from the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Egypt's capital, Cairo, with a population of over 20 million, is located 500 km from Sharm El Sheikh. In Cairo, you will visit: The Egyptian Museum, the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, a papyrus factory, an oil and perfume factory, and have lunch on the banks of the Nile. You will also have the opportunity to sail on the Nile on a felucca. At the end of the day, you will return to Sharm and will be back at your hotel around midnight.
Checkout from the hotel at 1:00 AM. You will travel to Cairo in a comfortable air-conditioned car, a journey of about 6 hours. The tour will begin with a visit to the Egyptian National Museum, an unparalleled repository of the world's largest archaeological collection, spanning all historical periods of ancient Egypt up to the Greco-Roman era. The collection boasts approximately 160,000 artifacts, including the contents of Tutankhamun's tomb and mummies.
Lunch in a panoramic setting at a restaurant on the Nile River. After lunch, you will go to a place where time stands still, to the symbol of Egypt – the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. Egypt has over 100 pyramids, but the most famous are the pyramids of Giza, which are considered the first wonder of the world of all time. Giza is a suburb of Cairo that enjoys worldwide fame. You will visit a papyrus museum where they will tell and show you how papyrus was made in ancient times, or a factory of perfumes and oils. Return journey and arrival back at the hotel around 10:00 PM.
