A two-day safari in Mikumi National Park is a great option for those who want to see Tanzania's wildlife and go on a full-fledged safari without long journeys from Zanzibar. You will enjoy a direct flight, a journey in a 4×4 safari jeep, an overnight stay at a lodge, and two days among the picturesque landscapes of the African savanna. During the safari, you can encounter giraffes, lions, elephants, and other inhabitants of the national park.
Day 1
05:00 — Departure from the hotel in Zanzibar and transfer to the airport. Before the early departure, it is recommended to ask the hotel in advance to prepare a lunch box. 07:10 — flight from Zanzibar to Mikumi. Upon arrival at the airport, meet the team and depart for the safari. Next, the main part of the program begins—a 4x4 off-road vehicle safari through the territory of the national park. During the journey through the reserve, you will be able to observe wild animals in their natural habitat: giraffes, lions, elephants, and other representatives of the African fauna. After the safari, check-in at the lodge and dinner.
Day 2
Breakfast and check-out from the lodge. After breakfast, continue the safari in the national park. You will head out on new routes across the savanna, where you can observe animals, photograph predators, and enjoy the atmosphere of real African wildlife. After the program is completed, transfer to the airstrip. At 16:30, flight back to Zanzibar. At 17:00, meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Arrival at the hotel is estimated around 18:00.

Take with you:
- Passport. Even though Zanzibar is part of Tanzania, we all go through passport control at the airport.

- Photo and video equipment. Charge your devices in advance.
- Break your money into small bills. They’ll come in handy for buying souvenirs and tipping the rangers. The recommended tip is 5$ per person.
- Morning snack (at the hotel reception, explain that you are leaving early in the morning for an excursion and need a lunch box, the hotel will provide this service free of charge)
