1:00 am Departure from the hotel. One way trip will take about 5 hours. On the way you will see the coast of the Red Sea. A visit to Cairo begins with the Giza Pyramid complex, the last remaining Wonder of the World. The three main pyramids of Cheops, Khafre and Menkaure and the Sphinx. Next we will see the Egyptian National Museum – the world’s largest repository of ancient Egyptian art. Located in Cairo on Tahrir Square, it has about 160 thousand exhibits of all historical periods of ancient Egypt. Walk along the Nile 45 minutes. Lunch is a buffet (drinks not included).

Then we go to the elite areas in the old part of Cairo. In the Christian part there are several places associated with the flight of the Holy Family. In ancient times, there was a hearth of Christianity. The Hanging Church was built on the southern gate of the Roman fort in 690. The wooden roof is shaped like Noah’s Ark. According to legend, the church was built over the grotto in which the Virgin Mary lived with the baby Jesus, fleeing the persecution of King Herod. In the church you will see a magnificent iconostasis (carved wooden panel). Second Cairo Coptic Church of Abu Serga (St. Sergius Church). In the Muslim part of Cairo, visit the Mosque of Amr. It was built in 642, as the cult center of the first Arab capital of Egypt – the city of Fustat (Old Cairo). It was the first mosque not only in Egypt, but throughout Africa. Way back to Hurghada. 23:00 return to the hotel.
