Mount Moses (by plane)

Description

13.30 departure from the hotel. Transfer to the airport and flight to Sharm el Sheikh (flight duration 30 minutes). Dinner on a yacht off the coast of Sharm el-Sheikh (drinks not included). 21:30 departure to Mount Moses. Two hours drive and Mount Moses will be in front of you. An experienced guide will help you reach the top (the height of the mountain is 2285 meters). Mount Moses and the view from its top are an attraction in themselves. The view is beautiful and definitely worth the effort. The length of the entire route is about 7 km. Climbing to the top will take no more than 3 hours. Numerous groups of pilgrims climb the Mount of Moses, to meet the dawn here and receive blessing and purification. 1st path: gentle serpentine, then you will need to climb 750 steps. Finally, after a three-hour journey, you can sit at the top, concentrate on your thoughts, and enjoy the sunrise. Just imagine – Mount Moses is a place where God gave the commandments to Moses for the children of Israel (10 Commandments). Tradition says that those who made the difficult journey to Mount Sinai and met the dawn at its peak will receive absolution. 2nd way: If you feel that you cannot climb the mountain on your own, you can rent a camel from the Bedouins for $15. After meeting the dawn, You go down the mountain and see the Monastery of St. Catherine. The monastery, located near Mount Moses, is named after St. Catherine, who suffered martyrdom for the Christian faith. You will see and learn the history of the biblical artifacts included in the monastery complex: the thorn bush and the Chapel of the Burning Bush, the Well of Moses, as well as the Basilica of the Transfiguration, the Library and the monastery garden. Without a doubt, you will be captivated by the beauty and grandeur of these holy places. After visiting the monastery, you will be provided with breakfast. Return to Sharm el-Sheikh. Breakfast. At 13:30 departure to the airport. Flight to Hurghada. Return to the hotel around 17:00.
