Description

Jeep Safari to the Coloured Canyon Salama and stunning snorkeling in the Abu Galum Nature Reserve – one of the best safaris on the Sinai Peninsula! In one day, you will visit two wonders of the Sinai Peninsula – the enchanting Coloured Canyon “Salama” and thrilling snorkeling (swimming with masks) in one of the best spots in the Abu Galum Nature Reserve near the town of Dahab. You can ride camels right on the shores of the Red Sea and visit the “Oriental Bazaar” in Dahab (Golden City). 8:00 AM departure from the hotel. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. On the way to the canyon, there will be a stop for photographs. The desert landscapes are simply mesmerizing. The Coloured Canyon “Salama” is the largest and most beautiful of all the accessible canyons. The canyon walls are like layered cakes, each layer in different colors, and the bizarre twists and layers play in the sun in all sorts of hues. You will enjoy a 1.5-hour walk through this amazing natural wonder. Next, we will head to the Abu Galum Nature Reserve, located on the shore of the Gulf of Aqaba north of the town of Dahab. You will take a camel ride along the coast. Additionally, for an extra fee of $7, you can also go for a quad bike ride along the coast. In Abu Galum, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the beauty and diversity of the Red Sea’s underwater world by snorkeling along the world-famous reefs “Three Pools” or “Dive Canyon,” which is 200 meters long (a life jacket is mandatory – $3). If needed, you can rent fins and masks. Right on the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba, a hot lunch will be served (drinks at an additional cost). On the way back, we will visit the town of Dahab and its colorful “Oriental Bazaar,” which is unlike any other city in Egypt and is in a hippie style (which was once the reason for the development of the small Bedouin village and the worldwide popularity of Dahab). Here, you can purchase healing and cosmetic oils, essences, perfumes, Egyptian souvenirs, and beautiful clothing in the national style. The return to the hotel will be around 7:00 PM.
