12:00 a.m. — We’ll depart from the hotel at night. The drive takes about 10 hours, with rest stops and bathroom breaks along the way to make the trip more comfortable. Upon arrival in Cairo, we’ll begin our tour with a visit to the Egyptian Museum—one of the most significant museums of Ancient Egypt. Here you’ll see ancient artifacts of the pharaohs, treasures of Ancient Egypt, and unique exhibits from various historical eras that offer a deeper understanding of the country’s millennia-old history. Next, we’ll take a panoramic tour of Cairo and go on a boat ride along the Nile (optional, for an additional fee of +10$), followed by lunch at a buffet-style restaurant.
Then we will head to the Giza Plateau, home to the famous Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx. You will see the Pyramid of Cheops—one of the Seven Wonders of the World—as well as the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, take a walk around the complex grounds, and be able to take photos from the best panoramic viewpoints. If tickets are available, it is possible to descend into the minor pyramid—the pyramid of the wife of Cheops. At the end of the program, we will visit a papyrus and natural oils factory, after which, at 01:00 AM, we will return to the hotel after a full day of sightseeing in Cairo.
