At 10:00 a.m., our guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby, and we’ll begin our tour. Start your day with a trip to one of Hong Kong’s most famous and beautiful islands—Lantau. We’ll take the MTR to Lantau Island (the MTR is the fastest way to get there). Upon arrival, we’ll take the cable car up to the Big Buddha statue. Along the way, you’ll be able to admire the island’s stunning natural scenery, mountains, and waterfalls, as well as Hong Kong International Airport and the world’s longest bridge (the Hong Kong–Macau–Zhuhai Bridge). After visiting the Big Buddha, head to Ngong Ping Village, where you can immerse yourself in the authentic culture of the local people. Explore the local shops, restaurants, and temples, enjoy traditional crafts, and sample local delicacies. Around 1:00 PM, we’ll arrive at the fishing village of Tai O. The village is famous for its seafood, which you’ll have the chance to taste. Take a stroll through the colorful streets. What makes this place unique is that people here live on the water, in houses built on stilts, just as they did many years ago. Around 4:00 PM, we’ll return to the hotel.
